We’ve been flower farmers in beautiful Birkdale in the Redlands district for over 40 years. The third generation of our family is now involved in growing, picking and arranging flowers into gorgeous bouquets.
At our Birkdale flower farm, we continue to do what we do best because flowers mean more than a pleasing smell and a pretty bloom. Flowers exist for life’s special moments, from the happy to the sad and every moment in between. They beautify and celebrate, honour and show respect. Most of all, fresh flowers show someone that you care.
Our history – The Flower Farm at Birkdale
Growing is in the Sihota family blood, all the way from the northern Punjab region of India to Birkdale. We recently shared about our forty years of flower farming, steadily growing our property and business into what The Flower Farm is today. Our new focus
We’ve recently moved away from large scale wholesaling to local and interstate florists. Our focus is on providing locals with our version of ‘paddock to plate’ – our flower fields direct to your kitchen vase! We’ve been a part of the Redlands community for so many years. And it’s wonderful to share our beautiful flowers with our customers.
What we do
At our Birkdale flower farm, we grow a wide range of flowers that thrive in our local Brisbane climate. As you’ll see from our segment on Totally Wild, we grow flowers ‘as far as the eye can see’!
Our farm
The Flower Farm is a fully operational cut flower farm, with an active work force and operational machinery. This means we can’t welcome visitors onsite to pick their own flowers. However, we’d love to see you in our retail shop. You will discover the ‘farm-fresh difference’ in our delightful range of locally grown flowers. We hand-sow, pick and craft our arrangements within hours for maximum freshness and longevity.

We’re so proud of our beautiful retail space. Our blooms are available to order online for pick up or delivery. Or pop in to see our gorgeous seasonal bouquets and arrangements.
We have proudly partnered with local hand-crafted, Australian made brands and products, to create our range of gifts. These perfectly complement our blooms, whether it’s something sweet, seeds to grow, hand-poured candles or our gift boxes to suit every occasion.
Delivery
At The Flower Farm, we work hard to grow, arrange, and deliver the best flowers in Brisbane. Because we’re a Birkdale flower farm, our delivery zone covers the Bayside and Redlands City, or you can arrange to pick up your blooms in store.

Our daily delivery runs include the Redlands Mater Private and Public Hospitals, as well as local schools, homes, nursing homes and aged care villages.

Picking flowers grown in their correct environments allows us to provide our customers with a variety of flowers at their absolute freshest and best, whether they're grown here or by our select growers.
Flowers that don’t grow well in our local climate (bulb flowers, like iris, tulips, lilies and Singapore orchids), we source directly from other growers. This means we can bypass storage and over-handling and ensure the freshness of these beautiful cut flowers.
We’re thrilled to be able to make our customers happy (and their loved ones too) with the freshest blooms in Brisbane. And we’re not planning on stopping anytime soon!
